"A Heart for Orphans"

Fri, 24 September 2010

Friends of Providence,

At 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Bayside Church in Granite Bay, California, Providence World Ministries (PWM) will host “A Heart for Orphans”, a free information and fundraising event in support of La Providencia, PWM’s family-based community for widows, orphans and at-risk youth.

Here at PWM, we are dedicated to improving care for orphans and widows in some of the world’s most desperate places. Honduras is among those places — only Haiti suffers more poverty in the Western Hemisphere. But where others see despair, La Providencia instills hope by providing each orphan with a two-parent home, a full-liberal arts education, comprehensive medical care and Christian mentoring on their beautiful Honduran campus.

PWM is asking those with a heart for children and the poor to come witness what God is doing to break the cycles of poverty in Honduras, and how you can partner in this effort. Dessert, beverages and live music will begin at a 7 p.m. reception and throughout the event.

To learn more about Providence World Ministries and the Heart for Orphans event on Nov. 18, e-mail us at info@providenceworldministries.org. Those outside the Sacramento area who are not able to attend the event can e-mail us to learn about other ways they can join this ministry’s efforts to transform the lives of orphans and widows.
