The purpose of PWM’s Research and Development department is to research orphanages and orphan/widow care organizations around the world in order to continue developing La Providencia into a best practice model for orphan and widow care.

In conjunction with the research, we will draft a manual setting forth the model and best practices for orphan/widow care. After disseminating the manual to organizations, churches, and individuals interested in improving orphan care, we will assist anyone interested in starting or improving an orphanage through research and feasibility studies in their respective country.

In furtherance of the R∓D department’s purpose, PWM currently is developing a research institute with several U.S. colleges and universities, which will, among other things, publish a Journal of Orphan Care.
