Providence in a Box (PIB) began in Nashville, TN in 2005 and we are ministry of Providence World Ministries. With the help of churches and organizations, basic need items are donated to Providence children, widows and the surrounding community of Providence’s orphanage campus in Honduras, Central America. Providence in a Box in Honduras is only the beginning, in the future PIB will be expanding to share our resources with other countries in need.

Providence World Ministries (PWM) ministers to and advocates for orphaned children and widows. Providence seeks to establish innovative, culturally appropriate communities of care for orphans and widows, while advocating for them among governments, society and the Church. On campus in Honduras, plans are underway for 10 additional homes (12 homes in total) for 8 children per house and their house parents; there is also a cafeteria/multipurpose building completed as well as a medical center.

Additionally schools will be built for the children who live in the local community and at Providence’s campus. There is also a medical clinic which serves the immediate community and has served families across Honduras. Currently the executive director of Providence and the international director serve as missionaries with their families in Honduras while working towards Providence’s mission.
